If you want a strikingly beautiful bonsai, the Japanese White Pine is it.

One of the most popular and hard to find japanese pine seeds, the japanese white pine is magnificunt. Also known as the five needles pine, this species distinguishes itself by having short needles making it a bonsai candidate.

A conical or columnar tree, often with a spreading crown native to Japan. 2-6cm long leaves are a deep-green colour with whitish blue inner sides, giving rise to the name, the White Pine.

This dense tree can grow upwards to 50-foot tall in the wild but when trained, it becomes a magnificent bonsai.

The Japanese White Pine is irregularly shaped. It has a wonderful spread and broad but flattened canopy. The needles of this tree are twisted and stiff with blue/green tufts on the tips.

Considered a classic bonsai, the Japanese White Pine is beautiful, hardy, and a perfect choice for both beginners and advanced bonsai growers.
